Props Theatre provides drama education for ages 5–21 in Bendigo and surrounds through weekly classes, performances twice a year, and school programs.
Between classes, there is a waiting area for the next group, and Props owner Alise wanted to discourage rowdy behaviour while waiting. So we created the mural you see here, which subtly hints at this outcome while also encouraging creative thinking and use of imagination.
The mural not only communicates an important message, but also transforms the space with beautiful lettering and on-brand colours.
For this mural, I transferred the design using a projector (as you can see below), and then painted the lettering using sign writing brushes and a mahl stick for support.
